What a beading mess!

Well, I finally got all my supplies in for my new beading project that I was talking about. I was able to complete 4 of my new beaded objects while the kiddos are napping and I absolutely LOVE them!! I can't wait for my Aunt Robin to see them. They are so cute I can't hardly stand it!! If you look closely, you'll see a few of them in the mess! I'll hopefully post some pics of my new objects tomorrow---so check back ; - )

Now, it's off to another ball game!!

This is a great pic of the hat and onesie together!

I just love her expression! I wonder what she was thinking.

And the winner is.....

Well, I have found the winner of my spring bracelet giveaway. Congratulations to Aggieray! Aggieray is a very talented Etsy artist making quilted bags and wallets. You can see her work here.

The bracelet she chose to receive is the Knitty Bitty Birthstone Bracelet---with a March Birthstone. She said it is going to be a communion gift for her niece. I hope she like it! You can find the birthstone bracelets in my Etsy shop---just click here.

I'm planning another fun give-away for this summer---so keep checking back!!

Here is the winning bracelet!

P.S. Some of you may have noticed my contest ended a few days early---sorry! Big goof on my part. I looked at the calender wrong and thought is was already May---but it really didn't matter b/c she was already the winning number ; - )

Take me out to the ball game!

We had a very busy Saturday---two baseball games. With my father-in-law being a high school baseball coach, we go to all the games. The kids LOVE it. Here is my son rattling the fence yelling "gampa" trying to get his attention.

After the game, they go onto the field to run sprints with the players.

Then, it's down to the dug out to play some more.

Best Buddies!

New Bead Project?

Tomorrow I'm going to take my friend out for lunch for her Birthday and I'm so excited to give her her gift. I wanted to give her something really special, and I know she is going to love it---I'd LOVE to have it myself. It's a fancy face clutch named, Maizey. It's from a VERY talented Etsy artist named Lori Marie and she sells lots of "pretty little things". I just love all the colors and details. You can visit her shop here. I may even put a little surprise inside!
I went to the craft store today for some new beads. I'm going to start a new project with beads, and no, it's not a necklace or bracelet or anything that you can wear. I found one while brousing the internet over the weekend, and I fell in love with them!! They are going to be perfect for gifts. I'm just waiting for the main part of my project to arrive in the mail. Maybe tomorrow---then I can start creating!!

I've spent most of my free time today (kids nap time) working on my Ebay listings. They are soooo time consuming. That's why I like Etsy so much---it's much cheaper and quicker. But, I do sell a lot on Ebay, so I stick with it. Here's one of my listings today---with many many more items waiting to get listed!!!

Two bitty bugs sitting on my deck

Aren't these cute? Last week I had a customer order the pink/purple bitty bug hat for her daughter then a few days later order the green/pink one for her friend. Those are going to be the cutest little girls on the playground. I bet they fight over whose hat is cuter! Would you like one too? Well, you can find them in my Etsy shop!

What a busy week!

What a busy week at knitty bitty apparel!! I've had 11 hat orders, three mitten orders, and two bracelet orders. That is a lot for me to keep up with---lucky for me people seem to be very patient---especially when they know things are being hand made just for them!

Tomorrow some friends of ours is having their little girl baptised, so I wanted to make something really special for her. I came up with this bracelet, and I'm just thrilled with it. I think it turned out beautiful!! I just ran to Hobby Lobby this a.m. with the intentions of just getting the silver cross and when I saw the little silver flowers---with the teeny tiny little rhinestones in the middle, I know they would be perfect. I think I'll list one in my Etsy store too.

And, I've been wanting to get this little ladybug bracelet created for quite some time now, so I made it this a.m. in the wee hours of the morning---before the kids got up. I'll tell you, I could get a lot more done if I'd just get up before the kids do ; - )

I also just heard back from the photographer today who I sent the hats to and she sounded thrilled with them---can't wait to see some pics. She even said she'd make a new blogger banner for me with a little newborn wearing one of my hats. Can't wait!!!

Strawberry Blossoms

I mailed this set off yesterday. A customer ordered the striped sweet pea hat with the matching mittens. This is the first set I've made with striped sweet pea mittens. I love the way they turned out---and they packaged up so cute too. I hope they like them!

I also created a new bracelet today---the strawberry blossom. I've had the beads for awhile and just hadn't had to time to sit down and create something---until today. A customer who just purchased a strawberry hat from me the other day wanted to know if I had the matching bracelet. I do have one listed, but I thought this was a good incentive to get the other one done so she could see both and then make her decision. Wonder which one she'll like better?

Finally....the hats are done!

A few months ago, a very talented photographer, Dawn Simmons contacted me with an offer. She wanted a few of my hats in exchange for the use of the photos of babies in the hats to use on my website. So, I finally have them done and in the mail today. I'm sure she will get tons of great pics---I can't wait to see some of her work. I'll post some as soon as I receive some from her.

The contest has already started and will end April 30th. I will announce the winner on May 1st. So, if you haven't already done so, add me to your list of favorite sellers----and the winner may be you!! Here's a sneak peak of the bracelet you may be winning! Good Luck!

Bead Day!

I guess I got the creative bug today......when the kids went to bed for their afternoon nap, I got out all my beads and went to work. I have a lot of polymer clay beads just waiting to become bracelets and I was able to get three done. I made a little flower girl, a real pretty green apple with pastel crystals, and a cherry one. I actually have hats that coordinate with all three of these....now, just to get them listed!

Here are just some of my polymer clay beads

Work in progress.....

The finished product

My little girl decided she didn't really want to take a nap today, so to keep her busy (and her little fingers out of my beads) she practiced her letters ; -)

Hippity Hop....Look what's in my Etsy shop!

I'm so happy to see that spring is finally here! The grass is getting green, the trees are starting to bloom, and I have the most beautiful daffodils in my yard! Today I'm able to open the windows of my house and let the fresh air in---I love it!

A woman that my husband works with wanted to know if I could make a bunny hat for her. She wanted it for a gift for a little girl who was born on Easter Sunday. So, I got right on it and this is how it turned out. I think it is just precious with the sheer little bows on the ears. I just listed it in my Etsy shop. Very Sweet!

My First Blog Entry

Hello! Thanks for checking out my blog site! I've been wanting to try blogging for quite some time now as I'm slightly addicted to reading other people's blogs and getting a tiny glimpse of the world around them. So, here goes my attempt at letting you into my world.

I absolutely love to craft and create and I think this will be a great outlet for me to introduce new items I'm working on and show my work----both finished and unfinished. I'd love to hear what you think!

I made these two chick bracelets for a grandma who purchases hats from me. I'm a little sad to part with them. They are really cute, and they are the last two chick beads I have. I think they are adorable!

I have to mention my knit hats in my very first blog entry, so here's a pic of a new hat I just made for a customer. She wanted a pea pod hat, but wanted in navy and blue striping. So, this is how it turned out. I just listed it in my Etsy store.

Well, I have tons more to say, but that's all for today. I have a stack of hats waiting to get finished. I'll post more soon. Bye for now!
