Do you ever make Rice Krispy Treats? I never made them until a few months ago with the kids. They are actually really, really good. We are going to a football game tonight, so we decided to make them and bring them to the game with our usual items. For the games, the kids always load up their backpacks with the usual treats: popcorn, peanuts, fruit snacks, at least on piece of candy, and their drink. And, yes, we usually do eat before we go to the games. So, tonight we'll add one more thing. I can just see it now.....twenty very sticky, very dirty fingers ;-)
Patiently waiting to get started...and making sure the marshmallows are fresh
I think I need to get Quentin his own step stool now
What good helpers
Look how focused he is....
Gotta lick the spoon!
Have a great evening!!

Too cute! Will they go to sleep after all those fun treats? Hope all was well at the game. Roxy
gotta love quick and easy tasty treats. we love chocolate spiders (they would be good at a halloween party) a packet of changs dried noodles (we get them here in oz not sure about you guys) 250 gms melted chocolate and 2 tablespoons of peanut butter all melted together and small spoons onto a tray then in the fridge. easy and so very delicious. have fun at the game. p.s. parcel is on its way to you;0) mmwah rosey
OOOHHH Rosey--that does sound good---and fun (the kids will love that they are called spiders )but I don't know what changs noodles are---are they just those crunchy chinese noodles?
yes i think that is right. a tasty treat just by themselves. how do you make the rice krispy treat? xx
Rosey---how funny you should ask. I think everyone here in the states would be laughing that someone doesn't know how to make them---sorry to poke fun, but I just had to ;-) Ok---I know the measurements will be off, but there are only a few ingredients, so you can just estimate. Here is the official link---let me know if you try them. And, if you can't find Rice Krispy brand, any puffed rice cereal will do. Your kids will LOVE them!!

Oh my gosh your children are such angels!! I grew up with rice crispy treats and loved them! Much better home made if nothing else than for the sheer enjoyment of the experience!
